Megan Howard

MSW, LCSW, CCTP | Clinical Director

Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has specialized experience in trauma. She is certified nationally as a Clinical Trauma Professional and Trauma Focused Therapist. Megan received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and then achieved her Master’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University in 2011. Megan has served clients with addiction, trauma, grief, and mental illness since 2007. She is passionate about providing long-term support and evidence-based solutions to individuals suffering from the afflictions of trauma and addiction. She believes in specializing in these areas to provide these two populations with the best treatment approaches available.

Sara Hiatt

LCSW | Clinician

Sara received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University in August of 2012. Sara worked as a counselor at Integrated Health Care for 4 years. During this time Sara worked with children and families with mental Health needs and substance abuse issues. Sara provided a lot of specialized work with children suffering from mental health symptoms and have a history of trauma. Sara enjoys utilizing play and art therapy approaches in her work. Sara is passionate about having a career where she feels that she can make a difference in the lives of others. Sara has a desire to help people to learn to live happier and healthier lives, by recognizing what they already know and helping them identify what they need to be their best selves.

Itzel Labra


Graduating recently with her Masters of Social Work, Itzel also has a Bachelors in both Social Work and Psychology from Idaho State University (Go Bengals!). She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Working in the past few years in the mental health field with both children and adolescents, she is certified in EMDR and desires to be a licensed Play Therapist in the future. Itzel’s favorite activities to do in session include: coloring and building Lego figurines. Her dream is to assist generations of children to learn how to deal with the ever-changing world they live in and how to combat unrealistic standards. To build a generation of future leaders who understand failure is necessary for growth and believe they are all amazing special individuals is her ultimate goal.

Itzel is the proud daughter of two Mexican immigrants, and the youngest of three girls. Hobbies outside of work include: watching scary movies with her two older sisters, sharing memes and funny videos with her four nephews and one niece, and finally playing video games and watching Marvel movies with her husband. You can most likely find her in your local target with a hoodie and leggings.

Shana Galbraith


Shana is in her first year of work with Addiction and Trauma Recovery Services. She completed her Masters in Counseling at Idaho State University, with an emphasis in marriage and couple counseling. The desire to help couples navigate faith transitions and mixed-faith marriages led Shana to pursue her degree in counseling. Through her work in an addictions agency, Shana has found a love of teaching group psychotherapy classes, especially those about relationships and trauma. Shana has also spent time practicing trauma informed therapy, and has received training to provide EMDR therapy as part of trauma treatment. When not at work, Shana enjoys spending time with her three teenagers, listening to podcasts, and studying and playing poker. Shana grew up in East Tennessee, and after 10 years in Eastern Idaho, is still learning to embrace Idaho winters. During the winter months, you can find her spending time indoors with a good book, a large blanket, and a large cup of coffee.

Ryanne Berrett


Ryanne Berrett grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. She received her master’s degree in social work from Northwest Nazarene University- where she specialized in addiction and mental health. Ryanne is also trained in EMDR and Gotman’s Level One Couples Therapy. Ryanne is passionate about working with clients of all ages and helping them on their journey towards mental wellness.

Kristen Barney

LSW | Gain Assessor, DUI Evaluator

Kristen is a Licensed Social Worker and Qualified Professional who has worked in the substance abuse field since 2006. She is a certified GAIN administrator and DUI evaluator and has been administering GAIN assessments since she started working in the field. Kristen prides herself in her ability to assist people with substance abuse problems get into treatment and begin their way to recovery. She is also certified and trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT).

Cassy Champion

Case Manager

Cassy has always been passionate about helping others. She graduated from Boise State and really enjoyed her career as a teacher. She loves spending time with her husband and children. She is passionate about fitness and nutrition and enjoys her time in the gym. Cassy has been a case manager with us, since 2017. She loves getting to know each individual client and admires their ability and desire to better themselves. Her goal is to provide resources and connections to assist clients on their road to recovery.

Ben Wells

BS | Quality Assurance & Program Coordinator

Ben has been working in the social services field since 2011. He believes in the recovery process and has a passion to help individuals battling with addictions, trauma and other mental health issues. His goal is to provide a welcoming and accepting environment that encourages and promotes positive self change within the individuals that have chosen to take their next step towards recovery at Addiction and Trauma Recovery Services.
